The Future of LSU Football

The 2016 Tiger season was a roller-coaster ride. After the 2015 season, fans called for the firing of then head coach Les Miles. However, the athletic department decided to stay with Miles for another season. The Tigers traveled to Green Bay to start the season, and it looked like the issues from the 2015 season were not only not addressed in the off season, but the Tigers lost to a team that was leaps and bounds less talented then the Bayou Tigers. Then only two short weeks later, the Tigers faced the War Eagles/Tigers of Auburn where even the less than average fan could see the dismantling of a once powerhouse team. The Tigers kept the game close until the end and lost on a clock mismanagement in the final seconds. On Sunday of that week Les Miles was fired along with the offensive coordinator and Ed Orgeron was named interim head coach.
