BREAKING NEWS: Franklinton High School (Franklinton, LA) QB Kerston Diddon Commits To 2026 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game!

Franklinton High School (Franklinton, LA) QB Kerston Diddon is the 14th official commitment and second quarterback commitment to play in the 2026 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game, which will take place at Louisiana Christian University in Pineville, Louisiana on Wednesday, December 30th.

“It’s a blessing just to have one more chance and one more game that you might not always get. I know the Gridiron game helps people get exposure and help them get in college. I am just excited and grateful for the opportunity.”

Diddon received his invitation to play in the Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game after having a great offseason camp at Elite Training Academy in Baton Rouge, LA. At 6’3, 185 pounds, Diddon has all the physical tools to become a great quarterback as he has the frame, arm strength, and ability to escape trouble with his legs when needed. He was named not only a Top Camp Performer, but finished as an overall Top 20 performer at our camp series entirely.

“It was a good camp and just how I expected it to be. I am grateful to be able to get an invite to play in the bowl game after the camp.”

Coming over as a transfer quarterback from Bowling Green High School, Diddon may be one of the best kept secrets in the state at the position. Diddon has big shoes to fill this season following another Gridiron Football All-American quarterback in Jacob Crain, who is the school’s all-time leading passer. However, head coach Nick Saltaformaggio definitely believes that Diddon has what it takes to lead one of the state’s top offenses.

“When Jacob (Crain) graduated, we were fortunate enough to get Kerston Diddon into our program. He has been nothing but spectacular for us. He brings a dynamic with his feet and his legs that we haven’t had. He can really go and is an explosive play waiting to happen both with his arm and his feet.”

Diddon is not only a great player, but he is an exceptional student in the classroom posting a 4.0 GPA and being a part of the Beta Club. Still searching for his first college offer, Diddon’s athleticism, ability as a dual threat quarterback, his high intellect, his overall fit in the offense, and getting another opportunity to showcase his skills at the Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game makes him an upcoming prospect on the rise.

“College coaches should check me out in recruiting because I can become a game changer for their team. I can help them win games and become a great leader.”
